The little things....

My kids are the greatest! They love unconditionally and make us laugh hysterically. It's the little things that make the hard things a whole lot easier. I have never been more thankful or proud of my family than I am now. They are truely my greatest joys. I am so blessed!

“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us—they help us learn to endure. And endurance develops strength of character in us, and character strengthens our confident expectation of salvation. And this expectation will not disappoint us. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”

Romans 5:3-5

On my knees...

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. Plans to plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

I flipped to my facebook today and this verse was posted to someone's profile. It was staring me right in the face. The Lord was telling me that I have to trust him and the plans he has for us. He knows what is best for me and my family and his plans are perfect. It is so hard to place all your faith in HIM when you are dealing with challenges or adversity but it is those challenges and adversity that he uses to bring us to our knees. So Lord, I am on my knees and I lay it all at your feet. I trust in you and your perfect plan for our life.

Calling all my prayer warriors. Please be in prayer tomorrow. I know most of you do not know what you are praying for but just pray for God's will to be done in our lives. Thanks and love to you all!

It's the greatest time of the year....Go Dawgs!

It's the greatest time of the year....college football season! Oh how we love saturdays whenever this time of year hits in September. ESPN gameday rules our house and we have no plans except watching the dawgs play. The kids know the cheer very well...Gooooo Dawgs Sic Em! Woof! Woof! Woof! Hagan at only 21 months has mastered this cheer. The cheer was first and foremost above alphabet and counting...just kidding! We have the steaks ready to grill and are hoping for a win against Arizona State!

On another note....we've hit some milestones this week. Hagan has learned how to crawl out of his crib. Can you say Oh no?? I was worried my good sleeper was now going to try me by not staying in his bed after we lay him down. Nap time yesterday he climbed out a few times but he finally laid down and went to sleep. Nighttime was no problem at all..thank goodness!! I am so not ready to move him to a big boy bed. Hagan has also learned how to say most of his alphabet. I think he is going to be a smarty like his sister.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and Go Dawgs!

Dawgs Won!

We went to the Georgia/Arkansas game saturday with some good friends. We had a blast! It has been a long time since we've gotten to go to a Georgia game. It was a close game but the Dawgs prevailed! Most of our friends were Hog fans but the friendly competition was fun! They were great sports about it all seeing as the game could've gone either way. We are so blessed with such great friends when we are so far away from home.

4 years Old and 21 months

My babies are growing up so fast! As you know, Emma just turned 4 and my baby Hagan is going to be 2 in a few months. I am going to blink and it will be time to start planning his 2nd birthday party. They are so much fun and so animated. We were in the den the other day and Hagan had an abc puzzle and sat there and named 80% of the letters on the puzzle. Jason and I were shocked! It's amazing how fast they learn. I am working with Emma now on learning how read words. She amazes me at how fast she picks up things. Her teacher Mrs. Jennifer said at school she is always correcting the kids and telling them when they aren't doing their work right. That's my little girl...she's just like her Daddy.....a perfectionist! They are truely the light of our lives and I can't remember life before them...the good days, the bad days, the exhausting days....we are so blessed!

Emma's 4th Birthday Party

Last year Ike hit and we had to move Emma's 3rd birthday party to the garage. This year, the rain came again! We had to move everything to our garage. The party started out great and Emma was all decked out in her Belle dress. We had people doing balloon animals and face painting. Emma was getting her face painted and passed out in the chair. Scared us all to death! Thank goodness we had a doctor in the house and Mike was great with Emma. She started feeling better and I moved everyone into the house to stay cool. Emma had a blast after her episode and has been herself since it happened. She's been playing with all her presents from everyone. Hagan was excited cause he got a few presents too. It was a great weekend and we were grateful to have family here for the event. Now we have lot of other things to look forward to in the coming year....Hagan turns 2 in December, Brad is getting married in April and Gus is getting married in August. We are going to have a busy year!

New Bikes

Neena and Grandaddy made it in this morning around 6 am. They were tired from driving all night but Emma sure was glad to see them! We didn't do much today since everyone was so tired but we went to Walmart this afternoon and let Emma pick out her bike for her birthday from Neena and Grandaddy. She was so proud of it!! Ma and Papa John bought Hagan a bike also so he wouldn't feel left out and he LOVE it! They are both so proud of their new bikes. Emma is in birthday mode and has been asking everyday if it's time to open presents. She is going to be rotten after this weekend. It is going to be a blast!
