Brotherly Sisterly Love

It amazes me the things Emma puts Hagan through and he still laughs at her and thinks she's funny! I don't know how the child isn't just scared to death of his sister. They were in the den this afternoon. Hagan was in his exersaucer and Emma was running around the house. I was folding some clothes in the other room and Emma came in and grabbed a handful of their washcloths. I walked in the den a little while later and this is what Emma was doing to Hagan:

He was just laughing at her and she thought is was hilarious too! Just thought I would share this moment cause Jason and I got a good laugh out of it.

Hagan's 6 month check-up

We went to Hagan's 6 month check-up yesterday. The doctor confirmed what we already knew. We have a very healthy bouncing 6 month old baby boy! Hagan has grown quite a bit since his last appointment. He weighed 18 lbs and was 26 1/2 inches long. He is a growing boy! He hated the shots of course but so did I. I still tear up every time they stick him. I don't know if it is being a mother and seeing your child in pain or because I am just as scared of those things as he is! Either way it upsets me! He was so happy going into the doctor's office and it broke my heart when they stuck him 4 times. Well, all is well today and he is his same ol happy self! We thank the Lord everyday for our happy and very healthy children!

Splish Splash!

Summer is my favorite time of year! I love going to the beach and laying out, playing in the pool with my kids, skiing in the lake, etc... Summer is just so much fun! We have thoroughly enjoyed our summer so far. We have been having fun at the pool lately. We joined the country club here so we have been enjoying the pool and Jason has been enjoying playing golf! Yesterday afternoon we went to the pool and had a blast. Emma is a little skittish about getting in right now but Hagan had a ball. Eventually Emma worked her way in and played with us. She is going to start swimming lessons soon so I hope she learns to love the water because we certainly do! Here are some pics of the kiddos splishing and splashing!!

Smiles make the world a brighter place!

I love smiles! On the worst of days a smile always makes me feel better. I think that is one of the best things about kids...they always make you smile. I love Emma and Hagan's smile. Their smiles just make my day!! I can't belive Hagan is 6 months now! I call him smiley cause he smiles at everything! Emma is going to be 3 in September. I can't believe she isn't a baby anymore! It makes me sad how fast they grow. We were playing around the house yesterday and I snapped a few pics of my babies and their beautiful smiles. I have had the privelege this week of seeing them really interact together. Emma was playing with him in the den yesterday. This is the first time she has really played with him. She was laughing and putting a blanket in his face and Hagan was just dying laughing. It was the sweetest thing to watch! Their smiles really make the world a brighter place!

Back to Reality!

Well, we are back from Jamaica. Yes, Jason had to drag me outta there kicking and screaming. Just kidding...I was ready to see my kiddos but Jamaica was a blast! We got to the resort on the 7th and were surprised when they walked us into the nicest room on the property which were the swim-up river suites. They had done a complimentary upgrade on our room. It was beautiful with a beautiful view. We knew we were getting a butler and didn't know how we would get used to that but by a few days we were completely and totally pampered. I tried to fit him in my suitcase but TSA wouldn't allow that! We relaxed a lot and went snorkling, skiing and kneeboarding, jet skiing, horseback riding, and deep sea fishing. I think our favorite thing of all was just sitting on the beach relaxing. I got 2 1/2 books read while we were gone which was nice to have the time to do. Well....we are now back to reality. We were excited to see the kids and I think they were excited to see us even though they were spoiled the whole time we were gone. Well we are back now so back to blogging! I'll try and get some new posts up this week of the kiddos.

Happy Anniversary My Love!

It is so hard to believe that we have been married 4 years now. Time has flown by! When we met 7 years ago I had know idea how you would end up impacting my life. I can honestly say these have been the best years of my life. You have given me love, honesty, friendship, companionship, a completeness of myself, and the most beautiful children in the world. I have loved growing with you and watching you grow as a wonderful man. I loved watching you graduate from college and then go on to graduate from grad school. I love the way you love me unconditionally. I loved the way you proposed and how that moment forever changed my life. I loved seeing your face the day I walked down the aisle. But of all the things I love about you (and I could list a million) the thing I love most is watching you be a daddy. I thank you for being the love of my life, my prince, my knight in shining armor, my best friend and my gift from God. I thank you for my two beautiful children. But most of all, I thank you for being the most wonderful, loving husband and father. I thank God every day for you. I put together a slide show of us through the years. I love you and am looking so forward to many many more years with you! I can't wait for our Jamaica trip on saturday! Love you!

It's gonna be a bright sunshiny day!

Our weekend was pretty good. We just stayed around the house. Jason had to work on saturday so the kids and I were just lazy around the house. We went to eat after church today and up came a huge storm while we were eating. We managed to make to our car but on the way home we saw trees down and heard about downed powerlines. We got home and put the kids down for a nap. I feel asleep getting Emma to sleep so I got a few Z's myself. When we woke up it was bright and shiny outside so we decided to wash cars and play outside a little. The week ahead is going to be busy. We are trying to get everything packed and ready for mine and Jason's Jamaica trip but we will be dropping the kiddos off in Atlanta. We can't wait for our week in the sun!!
