Emma's Gymnastics Picture

We have been busy getting things organized this week for the movers to come. I'm a little stressed because we haven't found a house yet and all our stuff is being moved next monday. I feel like my eyes are going crossed from looking at houses all day long!! We have been sending the kids to school all week so we can get some things accomplished. They are enjoying their last week at school. Emma went to her last day of gymnastics today. Another thing on my to do list...find a new gymnastics place in Athens. She is going to miss her friends and her teachers so much!! Thanks to everyone who has helped make Fort Smith home to us. We have enjoyed our time in Fort Smith and this week is going to be very bittersweet for us. I have already teared up a few times today but I know this is going to be a good move for our family as much as we are going to miss it here. Love to you all!!

Heading Back to Dawg Country

Well, if you haven't heard the news, we are moving back to Athens! We are very excited but it is going to be bittersweet. We are going to miss all of our great friends we have that have made Ft Smith feel like home. We are leaving today to head to Athens to try and find a house. I'm not looking forward to 2 house payments. Please pray our house in Ft Smith sells!!!! We leave monday to go back to Ft Smith to get ready to pack and we will officially be in Athens the weekend before the 16th. Yes, it is going to be whirlwind week and a half.

We have enjoyed being back in Georgia and spending time with our families. We went to the fall festival on wednesday at FBC in Statesboro. The kids had a ball!! Emma was Princess Belle and Hagan was a train conducter. They were just precious. We are looking forward to spending lots more wonderful times with our families now that we will be closer to home.

2009 Ogeechee Fair

I love Fair week cause it means fall is in the air. My kids have never really been to the fair or at least when they could remember it. I thought it would be a good idea to take them since we were home. They had a blast and loved all the rides. Emma won a goldfish which she named Lily. The pancake house was a big hit with the kids also and it sure was yummy to me too!! We are having a great time so far here in the boro!

Britt's Christening

Yes, I am still behind on my blog posts. I just can't seem to find the time. We had our nephew, Britt, christening a week ago. It was such a special ceremony and we enjoyed spending the day with family. The kids adore their cousin and he is such a sweetheart. I hope they will all be great friends one day.

I know I have been out of the loop lately. We are back home in Georgia for a while so I haven't had a chance to blog. I'm going to try and catch up a little today. We've been busy visiting with our families and just enjoying our time at home. These pictures are from our first weekend back in Georgia. We got to enjoy some time with Jason's family and our 5 month old nephew Britt. He is such a doll and Emma and Hagan just adore him. Emma calls him her favorite cousin Britt and is very jealous whenever anyone else holds him. I have lots more pictures to come...just be patient with me. It's hard to find the time lately. Hope all is well with everyone!!

The little things....

My kids are the greatest! They love unconditionally and make us laugh hysterically. It's the little things that make the hard things a whole lot easier. I have never been more thankful or proud of my family than I am now. They are truely my greatest joys. I am so blessed!

“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us—they help us learn to endure. And endurance develops strength of character in us, and character strengthens our confident expectation of salvation. And this expectation will not disappoint us. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”

On my knees...

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. Plans to plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

I flipped to my facebook today and this verse was posted to someone's profile. It was staring me right in the face. The Lord was telling me that I have to trust him and the plans he has for us. He knows what is best for me and my family and his plans are perfect. It is so hard to place all your faith in HIM when you are dealing with challenges or adversity but it is those challenges and adversity that he uses to bring us to our knees. So Lord, I am on my knees and I lay it all at your feet. I trust in you and your perfect plan for our life.

Calling all my prayer warriors. Please be in prayer tomorrow. I know most of you do not know what you are praying for but just pray for God's will to be done in our lives. Thanks and love to you all!
