Jason and I decided a long time ago no pets. I have been pretty adamant about it cause my 2 kids are enough to take care of without the stress of an animal. Well...a stray cat came and birthed a litter of kittens outside our kitchen window. They were there a few days and then she decided to move them all except one. She never came back and got the last one. I was making coffee and heard the kitten crying outside. Of course my heart tugged at me and I could let the kitten die so I called the vet to see what to do. She said the momma cat was probably not coming back to get her. So for the past week I have been bottle feeding and newborn kitten and my kids have gotten quite attached to her. Emma named her Bella. I guess she's sticking around for a little while.

Our Georgia Trip
I know a blog post is LOOONNNNG overdue. We have been so incredibly busy and just got back from Georgia last Sunday. Let me tell...14 hour drive is for the birds! We had a great time and enjoyed seeing our families and friends. We visited Splash quite a few times, went to Lake Sinclair for the 4th of July, visited good friends and family in Athens, went tractor riding with Papa, and met our new nephew Britt. He is just precious and Emma is in love with him!! Wish we were closer to be able to see him more. Hagan just wanted to pull that beautiful head of hair! Well here are some pictures from our whirlwind of a trip:

The Heat is On!
Wow is it hot outside!! We have been trying to spend as much time outside as we can lately but you can't stand the heat around here for very long!! Emma finished up swim lessons this week and she did great! I think she has a new appreciation for water. She is our little fish now. Hagan is creeping closer to 2 and boy can we tell!! The temper tantrums have started this week. I was hoping it was going to pass right by him but I guess we aren't that lucky. We are getting ready to head to Georgia thursday and we can't wait to get there! We had a wonderful weekend!! Happy Father's Day to all you dads!! I know I am so blessed with a wonderful father, father-in-law and my husband is the most amazing daddy. I have truely been blessed!!

LPGA here she comes...

Emma is just growing up so fast. I can't believe she is about to be 4! Wow time flies! She has been involved in so much stuff lately. She finishes up swim lessons this week and is doing great! She is also taking golf lessons at First Tee here in Ft Smith. She seems to love it. Jason and her went golfing Saturday and played 6 holes together. I think they both had a blast even though it was blazing hot!! Hope everyone is having a great summer!!

This Might Sound Crazy...

So..... What made us jump into this? Really, we're very level headed people. So, we're not prone to rash decisions or whims that end in disaster.
And I am the furthest thing on earth from a risk taker. I only take risks if they are very, very carefully measured and evaluated risks. Risks so calculated, they can't truly be called risks anymore. Those people who jump out of airplanes? No way, Jose. I won't even let the kids jump on the bed. Well, very much.
But this really seemed like a good thing. A calculated risk that seemed like the kind of risk worth taking. (Understand that, to me, it's risky to spend money on anything that might end up being wasted. Period.) If you calculate the risk..it is soooo minimal! Actually, after seeing how it all works I think people are crazy who don't jump on board.
There are really two main things with a whole subset of other things that sold us on Zoegetics™. First, we are completely convinced that they are a legitimate company with a sustainable business model and an approach to business that continues to communicate integrity to us. It is really so easy to make money with this if you are willing to take the jump with us.
Secondly, we are very impressed with their products. Especially, their flagship product Zoe Life™. It's a quality product and we are seeing real results in the lives of real people that we know every day. No shell games here, people. Everyone in my family is taking ZoeLife for different reasons. I am taking it for energy, Emma and Hagan to get their daily requirement of fruits and vegetables, Mom for her Osteoporosis, Dad for his arthritis in his leg. There are just so many different ways that this product can benefit each and every person!
Yep, that pretty sums up our two biggest reasons for believing in this choice and working to make it work. I feel like God brought this opportunity to me and I am ever so blessed that Erin called and said hey I've got something great. Let's do this together!! I have a great team so far and look forward to adding even more who might just want to be crazy with me. But..it's not really crazy! It's one of the smartest things I've decided to do. Jump on our dream team or just try the products. Either way..you'll love it!

Little Blessings

I have had one of those incredibly perfect weekends that has made me sit back and reflect on all the blessings God has given me. First, Jason and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on friday. What a wonderful 5 years it has been! I am so blessed with a wonderful and loving husband who supports me in anything I do. I look forward to many more wonderful years. Yesterday we went to the park in the morning and let the kdis play. We rode the train, playing on the swings, and went down the slides. We went to lunch and then headed home for nap time. After nap time we decided to go for a visit to the Alma waterpark. I wouldn't exactly call it a waterpark but it was fun for the kids. The water was FREEZING! It took us a while to get used to the water! We stayed for about an hour and a half and then came back home to grill out for supper. We took the kids for a walk in the wagon and then came back and ate dinner outside. The kids have had a blast this weekend!! Now I'm fixing to get ready to head to church. I have a lot to thank God for this morning. He has given me so many little blessings!

Summer, Summer, Summertime!

Well it's officially summer!! Our weekend started off kind of crazy!! Emma stuck her hand on the hot eye on the stove and it burnt it up pretty good. We freaked out a little but she is doing much better now. It has been beautiful this weekend so we have spent most of it outside. We blew up a little kiddie pool which we have enjoyed so far. The kids definitely thrive outside and Hagan would stay there if he could. We had a bunch of people over last night and introduced them to a good ol fashioned South Georgia Low Country Boil. It was a lot of fun. We are really lucky to have such great friends here! It makes it a lot easier when we live so far away from family. I hope everyone had a great weekend. We are looking forward to lots of fun times this summer!

Hagan's School Picture
My sweet Hagan had his school pictures done 2 weeks ago. I can't believe my baby is a year and half old!! He is getting so big! The last day of school is thursday so I guess friday marks the beginning of summer..pool time! Emma starts swim lessons next monday. I am hoping she learns to swim and then I won't have to hold her in the water all summer. The family left yesterday after sitting in the airport the entire day cause of the bad weather in Atlanta but I'm glad they made it home safe even if it was at 2am. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!
