This is so funny that I had to share....You know men never really grow up. They are just little boys stuck in big bodies. Well case in point...Terry who lives a few doors down from us works at Baldor with Jason. They are always jawing about our sports teams. We are Georgia Bulldog fans and he is an Ole Miss fan. Well, Terry's Ole Miss mascot disappeared from his house the other day. I think some guys from the plant took the poor thing. Well today Jason got home and decided that we needed to send UGA down to guard their house from future robberies:
I don't think our tiny UGA could've done all that much but Emma thought it was quite funny.

Hagan's First Haircut

I have to apologize for my lack of posting lately. We have been busy and well I have just been lazy about it. So, a little catch up....Hagan got his first real haircut and did great. It makes me sad though because now he looks like a little boy and not a baby anymore. He is into everything these days and is walking everywhere. He is still the sweetest thing ever! Emma is doing great as well! She is learning how to sound out all the letters to make words. She can write all her letters and she is now an expert at spelling her name. She is definitely a smart little girl. A little to smart for her on good sometimes. She cracks us up constantly. Her newest phrase the made us laugh was "check this out". I need to start keeping a journal of all the funny things she says. Well I will try to do better with my posting this week. Hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's!! Jason and I got some much needed "date time".

Milestones
Milestones are so huge in this house and we love celebrating when one of us hits one. Emma had a milestone a few weeks back when she stopped getting up in the middle of the night. Can you say "hooray"! It has been my first full night's sleep in 3 years. Ahhh! We had been working with her on being a "big girl" and staying in her bed all night. Another HUGE milestone was hit last night and I was lucky enough to be filming when it happened. Hagan took his first steps!!!! We were so excited and dancing around the living room. Lots of fun heading our way now that he's probably going to start walking soon! It was so exciting and I wanted to share the news with everyone. I have attached the video of it but for some reason I can't get the volume to work on the video so you will just have to enjoy it without the sound till I can get it fixed. The ice and snow are starting to melt so we are getting out of the house today. Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Ice Storm 2009

It all started 2 days ago when I picked up Emma from dance..the ice storm hit. It was crazy! The rain froze as soon as it hit my windshield. We woke up yesterday morning to no electricity. Not good when you have 2 kids in the house! Last night it got worse and you could hear the ice hitting our house. It snowed a little too last night. Anyways..we got up this morning and went outside for a bit. It is quite cold out!! I think we are going to stay bundled up inside today. It is like Christmas Day around here. No one is open cause of the storm. Thank goodness we have electricity today!

Let's call him "Chunk"

Ok so we had Hagan's 1 year doctors appointment last week. They basically told us what we already knew. Hagan is a big boy! He weighs 24 lbs and is 30 1/6 inches long. He is 4 lbs lighter than Emma! He LOVES to eat. The other day he had a few crackers before I fed him dinner and then I fed him apple and chicken and sweet potatoes. After that we sat down to eat our dinner. We had grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken and sausage gumbo. Hagan was sitting in Jason's lap and before we knew it he had the grilled cheese and was chowing down. He loved it and then proceeded to beg for some of Jason's gumbo. It was hilarious!! He is a fat and happy baby! We are blessed to have 2 happy and healthy children!

Dancing Queen

Emma is our little dancing queen! She LOVES to dance. Her candy cane dance is hilarious. I'll try to get a video of it. Anyways...this is my little dancing queen after dancing the other day.

Capital One Bowl- Go Dawgs!!

Jason, I, Kathryn and Jud drove to Orlando New Year's Eve to spend the night and go to Georgia's bowl game. The first half was kind of slow but the second half they kicked it in gear. Glad we didn't drive all that way to see them lose! It was nice to get away for the night without the kids. We had a great time and I have to say the karaoke on the way home from Jason and Jud was fantastic! Kathryn and I were very grateful they could sing or that could've made for a long ride home...haha! Happy New Year Everyone!

Hagan's 1st Birthday
Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything. We took off a few weeks to go to Georgia for the holidays. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing our families. We got back about 1:30 am Saturday night and survived the trip home. It's back to routine today. I have lots to share from the holidays so I will be posting all this week. We had Hagan's birthday while we were home. I can't believe my baby is now 1. It was a lot of fun and we were glad our families got to help celebrate it with us. Hagan got lots of good presents but Emma stole the show. She thought it was her birthday so of course she opened all his presents. Enjoy the pictures!
