Merry Christmas 2009
We had a wonderful Christmas being back in Georgia. It sure makes the ride a whole lot easier!! It was nice being around family and enjoying the excitement of Emma and Hagan. They were so much fun this year. Emma was at a great age for it and got really into all Christmas traditions. We loved our Elf on the Shelf this year. Her name is Lily and she made Emma behave which was nice. I sure am going to miss Lily. I wish she could stay in our house year round but I know she has to fly back to the North Pole till next year. Santa was a big hit and he actually visited us twice. Once the morning before Christmas at our house and then again on Christmas day. The kids must have really been good this year!! Emma woke up early both mornings and couldn't wait to see what Santa had brought them. She was very excited. She has been asking ever since if he is coming back every morning. Sadly...no....Santa is broke!! He'll come back again next year if they are good! :) Jason and I are back in Athens this week and left the kids with the grandparents. We have been enjoying a week alone!! We've gotten a lot done around the house. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We are gearing up for a New Year's party tonight. I hope I can last till midnight! My bedtime is usually 10 and I always fall asleep before New Year's but I'm determined to stick it out this year. I'll post again in 2010!!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad
To the ones whom I owe my lifeWho've known me since my birth,Who loved each other more than enoughTo bring me into this earth.Who've raised me up knowing right from wrongWho taught me how to read and write,Who laughed, and played, and sang with meand tucked me in at night.Words can never thank you enoughFor all of your love and tears,That have shaped me into who I am todayOver these many years.I want you to know that I love you bothMore than words can say,And I want to thank you for turning me intoThe woman I am today.I couldn't have asked the Lord aboveFor better parents than you, so thank you, Mom and DadFor everything you do!Happy 33rd Anniversary! We love you!

Hagan's 2nd Birthday

A two year old is so many things.
A tiny discoverer of butterfly wings.
A hugger of teddies, a sweet sleepy head.
And someone to dream for in bright years ahead.
A special new person who right from the start,
has a place in the family and a coarse in your heart.
And just when you think you've learned all the things,
that your dear son is,and the joy that he brings,
a hug or a grin comes with such a sweet surprise,
that love finds you smiling with tears in your eyes.

It's almost Christmas....

I love Christmas! It is one of my most favorite times of the year. The decorations, the smell of a frazier fur, the lights, being with family and most of all the birth of our Savior. I could do without all the gifts. I just love being together and the yummy food. I could make myself sick on all the food, cookies and candy. I'm trying to make this year not about the presents and gifts but about our most precious gift...our Lord and Savior. He is the reason for the season and I have so much to be thankful for...happy and healthy kids, back closer to home, a wonderful husband and provider, family, and I could go on and on. I challenge everyone to get away from all the commercialization of Christmas and enjoy the reason for the season. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

I'm back!!
I am back up and running now! Things are going really great and we are enjoying being back in Athens and spending time with family. Thanksgiving was wonderful and it was only a 3 hour trip home! We had a wonderful time with our families and our kids are loving all the attention and being this close. It's hard to believe Christmas is so close. We are going to enjoy just being together and being close to home this Christmas. On another note...Jason is loving his job. He is in Pennsylvania till next week and is loving what he he is doing. Talk about a blessing! We are in Statesboro because of daddy's surgery and I am busy planning Hagan's birthday party here in Statesboro so all our family can enjoy celebrating it with us. I can't believe my baby is going to be 2. Time really flies! Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!!
